Modi declares 81 investment projects worth Rs 60,000 cr in UP
text_fieldsLucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched at least 81 investment projects worth Rs. 60, 000 crore at the ground-breaking ceremony in UP’s capital city Lucknow on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering after inauguration, PM Modi said that Uttar Pradesh was making rapid developments and with the speed its growing it will soon headed towards becoming a ‘trillion dollar economy’.
PM Modi lauded UP CM Yogi Adityanath’s initiatives for carrying out development in all districts of the state and said that promises which had been made had been fulfilled. He further added that the event which is being hailed as ground-breaking event is rather a ‘record-breaking’ event’.
Adding to it, he said that the manner in which development works have been carried out in such a short span of time and old methods have been changed, was never seen before in Uttar Pradesh. He said the projects being launched will give a new direction to Digital India and Make in India. Saying this, Modi further said that UP was leading the mobile manufacturing revolution as more than 50 mobile manufacturing company are working in UP and the largest mobile manufacturing unit in the world has also been established in the state.
He also went on to describe the achievements of the various schemes launched by his government and gave the instance of the Ujala scheme under which at least Rs. 50,000 crore had been saved in electricity bills because of the LED bulbs were set up in households.
PM Modi also criticized the previous governments and said that they never had the will nor the intention to make progress in the state.
