Tel Aviv: Will “finish the job” against Iran with the support of US President Donald Trump, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday.
He, who was speaking alongside US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, claimed that Israel dealt a mighty blow to Iran’s terror axis over the past 16 months, CNN reported.
“I have no doubt that we can and will finish the job,” CNN quoted the Zionist ruler.
Netanyahu further said that he has a common strategy with Trump on Gaza’s future, too. He pledged that he would open the “gates of hell” if Hamas failed to release all hostages.
Meanwhile, Rubio said that a nuclear Iran will not happen. He said that it is important to constantly point out that whether we talk about Hamas or Hezbollah violence in the West Bank or, destabilization in Syria or issues of the militias in Iraq, they all have the common theme of Iran. That must be addressed, he said.
CNN reports that US intelligence agencies warned both the Biden and Trump administrations about Israel’s likely attempt to strike Iran at its key nuclear programme facilities this year. However, Israel’s desire to use military force contradicts Trump’s current mind of bringing peace with Tehran. Further, intelligence agencies warn of an escalation of conflict in the Middle East due to Israel’s attack on Tehran’s nuclear sites.
US President Donald Trump, whose proposal to take over Gaza drew much acceptance among right-wing Israelis, stood firm with his words, saying “he will own it” and “more than 2 million Palestinians have no right to return, that they have no alternative but to leave,” which was his response to a query about the fate of Palestinians' habitat.
Trump’s proposal to turn Gaza into a real estate destination, along with his request for neighbouring Arab countries to accommodate more than 2 million Palestinians, faced strong criticism not only from Palestinians and Arab leaders but also from global leaders, including those from Germany, the UK, Australia, and France, with the UN warning that there is no international law to justify it and that it would be considered a crime.
