UAE weather alert, private sector urged to adopt flexible work arrangements on Day 3

Dubai: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has urged the private sector in the UAE to extend flexible work patterns for the third consecutive day due to the impact of unstable weather conditions across the country.
The fluctuating weather conditions in the UAE underscore the necessity for adaptable work arrangements to ensure the well-being of employees.
With the unpredictability of weather patterns affecting outdoor work environments, the need for employers to accommodate flexible work schedules has become paramount.
MoHRE emphasises the importance of taking precautions in outdoor work environments where operations cannot be suspended. Employers are urged to prioritise the health and safety of workers during their commute and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
To mitigate the risks posed by adverse weather conditions, the government has announced remote working for all public sector employees on specified dates. However, exceptions are made for essential onsite workers whose presence is indispensable.
