Dubai: Three trekkers, stranded at an altitude of 4,000 feet in the mountains of Ras Al Khaimah, were successfully rescued by authorities. The operation was led by Lieutenant Colonel Pilot Abdullah Ali Al Shehhi of the Air Wing Section at Ras Al Khaimah Police.

The rescue operation was initiated in response to a report received by the authorities regarding three European nationals stranded in the mountains. The trekkers had ventured into rugged terrain, leading to their predicament.

Upon receiving the report, a helicopter with a rescue team was dispatched to airlift the stranded individuals. The trekkers were safely transported to the police headquarters before being handed over to the relevant authorities.

Authorities have reiterated the importance of adhering to safety guidelines while engaging in mountain climbing or hiking activities. They urge individuals to avoid rugged and hazardous areas that may jeopardize their safety.

Authorities continue to emphasize the need for caution and adherence to safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
