Dubai: The processing time for work permits and residency visas in the UAE has been reduced from 30 days to five days with the launch of the second phase of the Work Bundle platform. This initiative, launched on Tuesday, aims to ease the hiring process for business owners and private companies, as well as streamline the pre-renewal of work permits for existing employees.

The first phase of the Work Bundle was rolled out in Dubai in April and is now implemented across all seven emirates. The second phase will benefit about 600,000 companies and over seven million workers. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has announced that the third phase will cover domestic workers.

Currently, companies and employees can access the Work Bundle platform through its website (workinuae.ae). A mobile app is expected to be launched soon.
