UAE President praises women’s role on Emirati Women’s Day

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan honored the vital role women play in the nation’s progress on Emirati Women’s Day.
Appreciating their “remarkable achievements,” he said, “the country joins its exemplary women in celebrating the achievements of women in the Emirates and the remarkable contributions they have made and continue to make in the nation's journey".
The UAE President underlined that women’s efforts span all aspects of life, from society to their families.
“We express our appreciation for their pivotal role in development, education, and building a virtuous family. We are confident that their giving, dedication, and sincerity represent a source of strength and inspiration for our journey toward the future within the framework of the 'Mother of the Emirates 50:50' vision", President said.
This year’s Emirati Women’s Day is observed under the theme “Hand in Hand, Celebrating the 50th,” marking five decades since the establishment of the General Women’s Union in 1975. Sheikh Mohamed highlighted the national drive for progress, saying, “Hand in hand, the Emirates moves forward through a national system aimed at a better future for our homeland and our people".
Since its inception, Emirati Women’s Day has evolved into an annual occasion that honors women’s contributions and highlights the UAE’s effort towards gender equality. It serves as a reminder of the strides made over the past 50 years and the aspirations that lie ahead.
