UAE President meets Qatar PM for talks in Abu Dhabi
text_fieldsAbu Dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, focusing on bilateral relations and regional tensions.
The Qatari official conveyed greetings from His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, and wishes for continued progress in the UAE. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed returned the gesture, extending his regards to the Emir and wishing prosperity for Qatar and its people.
Both sides reviewed cooperation between the two countries and discussed ways to deepen engagement across areas of shared interest.
Regional issues formed a key part of the meeting, with attention on their impact on security at both regional and international levels. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman reiterated Qatar’s condemnation of the Iranian terrorist attacks targeting civilians and civilian sites in the UAE, and expressed support for measures taken by the UAE to safeguard its security and sovereignty.

Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President, along with other officials.
