The 2024 UAE Government Annual Meetings are set to commence on Monday in Abu Dhabi, led by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. This year's agenda emphasizes three core pathways—national identity, family and artificial intelligence (AI)—and will include eight panel discussions centered on key national priorities.

The event, now in its sixth year, will host over 500 dignitaries, including rulers, crown princes and officials from federal and local government bodies. According to Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, this year’s sessions will feature significant updates, with over ten plenary discussions covering topics such as economy and investment, AI, education, sports, family and community empowerment.

The sixth edition introduces several key additions, including national retreats, dedicated sessions with local governments and initiatives aimed at empowering young leaders. Citizen voices will also be amplified, celebrating achievements in national projects and recognizing the people behind their success. "The UAE remains committed to setting a proactive, efficient government model", Al Gergawi remarked, highlighting improvements that build on the foundational model established with the first meetings in 2017.

Running until November 5, the event will kick off with exclusive sessions for the Cabinet, five federal councils, and various national and local committees. Additionally, executive councils from Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah will conduct special meetings, reflecting the UAE's commitment to enhancing governance at every level.
