RTA extends Dubai metro timings ahead of busy travel period

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced extended operating hours for the Dubai Metro over the weekend. From now until Saturday, August 24, the metro will run from 5am to 2am and from 8am to 2am on Sunday, August 25.
Dubai International Airport (DXB), the busiest international airport globally, expects to handle 3.43 million passengers over the next 13 days as residents return from summer holidays. Dubai Airports also revealed that over half a million passengers would pass through DXB between August 31 and September 1, with September 1 projected to be the busiest day, accommodating 291,000 travellers.
Earlier this month, DXB reported a record 44.9 million visitors during the first half of the year, reflecting Dubai’s growing global appeal as a travel hub.
