Ras Al Khaimah welcomed 2026 with a spectacular 15-minute show that combined drones, fireworks, and live entertainment, marking the emirate's entry into the new year in style. The highlight of the celebration was a world record-setting aerial display that featured 2,300 drones forming a massive phoenix in the night sky.

The drone performance, which took place above the waterfront, was a major draw for the crowds. The star of the show was the massive phoenix, a symbol of renewal and rebirth, created using 2,300 drones. Among these, 1,000 were pyro drones that lit up the wings of the phoenix, simulating flames as it soared across the sky. The intricate display captivated viewers as the drones moved in perfect synchrony, creating a stunning visual experience.

In addition to the phoenix, the drones also formed another sequence titled The Welcome. This formation depicted a human figure rising from the sea with open arms, symbolizing Ras Al Khaimah’s warm hospitality and welcoming spirit.

As the clock neared midnight, the drone display transitioned into a fireworks countdown, culminating in a breathtaking six-kilometre-long fireworks show. The display stretched from Marjan Island to Al Hamra along the coastline, featuring hundreds of synchronized fireworks that lit up the sky in a series of vibrant colours and patterns. The fireworks show was perfectly timed with the countdown to the new year, creating an unforgettable moment for all who gathered to watch.

Thousands of residents and visitors filled the beachfront resorts and attended the New Year’s Eve Festival to witness the celebrations. The night included live stage performances and entertainment, adding to the festive atmosphere. Earlier in the evening, families also enjoyed a fireworks display at Corniche Al Qawasim.
