Mansoor Palloor’s debut novel Arabiyude Amma released at Sharjah International Book Fair
text_fieldsSharjah: The first novel by noted columnist, foreign affairs commentator, film producer, and writer Mansoor Palloor, titled “Arabiyude Amma” (“The Arab’s Mother”), was released on the concluding day of the Sharjah International Book Fair.
The book was released by prominent Saudi citizen Mohammed Bin Hameem, who has maintained a long and warm association with Kerala, by handing over the book to Dr. Aslam Saleem, a well-known figure in Dubai for his medical service and humanitarian activities.
The novel which narrates the deep bond of love between Kerala and the Arab world— was officially released in front of a packed audience. In his speech, Mohammed Bin Hameem recalled his relationship with Kerala and Malayalees. He also remembered his dear friend, the late humanitarian Adv. C.K. Menon, as well as his memorable meeting with former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
These heartfelt memories of human compassion made the book launch a truly moving experience, echoing the emotional essence of the novel itself.
Mansoor Palloor’s earlier work, “To whom does the 21st century belong?”, had previously drawn international attention and discussion. “Arabiyude Amma” marks his debut as a novelist. The author is also India’s first AI-film producer.
The novel portrays, with deep emotion, the love and affection, shared between an Arab family and Lakshmi, a Malayali maid. The book is published by Paper Publica. A large number of well-wishers from the UAE and various other Gulf countries attended the event.
