Amid escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, Lebanon has been severely impacted, with airstrikes claiming over 1,000 lives since September 17. The violence has forced up to a million people to flee their homes, resulting in widespread displacement.

In response, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered an urgent relief aid package worth $100 million to support the Lebanese people. The UAE has also been sending aircraft loaded with medical supplies, food, shelter equipment and other relief materials to Lebanon. Additionally, the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Affairs Council has launched a campaign titled 'UAE Stands with Lebanon' to further assist those in need.

Several local organizations are offering UAE residents an opportunity to contribute to the relief efforts through donations. Here are the key platforms available for support:

The Emirates Red Crescent is running the 'UAE Stands with Lebanon' campaign from October 8 to 21, in collaboration with various humanitarian organizations. Residents can make in-kind or cash donations to support Lebanon.

A collection and packing campaign will take place at the following locations:

- Dubai: Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai, on Saturday, October 12, from 9 AM to 1 PM.

- Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal (Terminal 1), on Sunday, October 13, from 9 AM to 1 PM.

Residents can also donate via the Emirates Red Crescent’s bank accounts, website or smart applications. The campaign is listed under the title 'Relieving Lebanon'.
