Dubai RTA shifts to digital-only vehicle fine payments, ends in-person transactions at service centers
cancel

Dubai: Since May 26, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has ceased accepting vehicle fine payments through customer happiness centres and service provider centres. This transition to a digital-only payment system was announced on X by the RTA.

Residents can settle fines through the RTA’s official website or smart application.

An updated app version offers a simplified payment process, eliminating the need for physical visits to customer service centres.

The RTA aims to streamline services, reduce wait times and promote digital transactions to align with global smart governance trends.

The shift to digital platforms is expected to have environmental benefits by reducing paper usage and foot traffic at customer service centres.

The RTA plans to continue enhancing its digital platforms to improve service quality.
