Visitors can enjoy a unique shopping experience with competitive prices, making it an ideal destination for families, young people and heritage enthusiasts.
The market features stalls run by longstanding shopkeepers, offering Ramadan supplies, products for the ‘Haq Al Laila’ celebration and a variety of goods ranging from food to personal items. Asem Al Qassim, Director of Architectural Heritage and Antiquities Department at Dubai Municipality, emphasized the significance of the Ramadan Souq. He said, “The Ramadan Souq is one of the most significant traditional events celebrating the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan in the emirate. We are committed to promoting the heritage of traditional markets, which are a living testament to Dubai’s history".
Highlighting the choice of location, Al Qassim added, “Organising the souq in the Grand Souq area of Deira, one of Dubai’s oldest markets, affirms its enduring role as a shopping hub for personal and household needs, while also serving as a key tourist attraction that reflects the emirate’s cultural legacy. Our ongoing efforts aim to enhance Dubai’s appeal as a city of exceptional quality of life".
This year’s Ramadan Souq aligns with Dubai Municipality’s commitment to supporting tourism, entertainment and commercial activities across the emirate. By offering a platform for local businesses and investors, the event boosts demand for public facilities and entertainment venues and strengthens Dubai’s position as a hub of culture and commerce.
