Dubai Metro: Red Line services resume after record rainfall disruptions

Dubai: Dubai Metro services on the Red Line have resumed in both directions following disruptions caused by record rainfall earlier in the week. While the services are back on track, certain stations will remain closed until further notice.

The recent record rainfall in Dubai resulted in disruptions to the city's transportation network, including the Dubai Metro's Red Line services. The heavy downpour led to temporary closures and operational challenges, affecting commuters across the city.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the resumption of Dubai Metro services on the Red Line. However, passengers should note that certain stations, including Equiti, Al Mashreq, and ONPASSIVE, will remain closed until further notice. The RTA is actively working to restore full service and advises commuters to plan their journeys accordingly.

While the Red Line faced disruptions, the Green Line continued its operations with minimal impact. Trains on the Green Line are now stopping at all stations from Etisalat to Creek Station, allowing commuters to resume their daily travels without significant interruptions.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is working diligently to expedite the recovery process and restore normal operations across all Dubai Metro lines. Crews are focused on assessing and addressing any damage caused by the heavy rainfall, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the metro system.

The RTA advises passengers to plan their journeys in advance. Commuters should stay updated on the latest developments through the RTA's official social media channels, where real-time updates on station re-openings and service adjustments are provided.
