Dubai: Authorities confirmed that debris from drones intercepted by air defences fell into the courtyards of two homes in Dubai, injuring two people.

Officials said the injured received the necessary medical care.

Authorities also clarified that the sounds heard across the emirate were the result of successful interception operations.

They urged the public to rely on official information regarding the incident.

Jebel Ali Port

Dubai authorities previously confirmed that debris resulting from an aerial interception caused a fire at one of the berths at Jebel Ali Port.

According to Dubai Media Office, Dubai Civil Defense teams responded immediately and continue efforts to fully extinguish the fire.

No injuries have been reported.

Authorities urged the public not to circulate an old video of a fire at Jebel Ali Port dated July 7, 2021, warning that it could spread misleading information. Officials said further updates will be provided as they become available.
