Dubai: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has announced the organization of the 26th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) from 1st to 3rd October 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA mentioned WETEX's role in supporting international efforts towards accelerating the energy transition and achieving net-zero objectives, particularly in the UAE's Year of Sustainability.

Al Tayer highlights WETEX as a global platform for showcasing the latest technologies, solutions and innovations from around the world to address current and future challenges, ensuring a brighter and more sustainable future.

Supported by the UAE's wise leadership, WETEX has become integral to the achievements of initiatives like the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050, aiming to provide 100% of Dubai's total power production capacity from clean energy sources by 2050.

The exhibition also focuses on increasing support from stakeholders, sponsors and partners, offering an annual opportunity for knowledge exchange, deal-making, partnerships and exploration of investment opportunities.

Highlighting the success of the previous edition, WETEX 2023 witnessed significant participation, with thousands of companies from around the globe and numerous sponsors from both local and international entities. The event featured extensive international pavilions covering a vast area.

As DEWA prepares to host the 26th edition of WETEX, the exhibition continues to play a pivotal role in driving advancements in water, energy, technology and environmental sectors, demonstrating a collective commitment to sustainable development goals.
