Ajman bans petrol transport vehicles from parking outside designated zones
text_fieldsAjman will ban vehicles carrying petroleum products from parking or stopping in non-designated areas beginning October 7. The move aims to reduce risks linked to flammable and hazardous materials.
The regulation prohibits fuel tankers from stopping in densely populated areas or locations not assigned by authorities. The Ajman Supreme Energy Committee will monitor violations through authorised officers and impose penalties.
First-time offenders will face a Dh5,000 fine. A repeated violation will cost Dh10,000, while a third offense will lead to a Dh20,000 fine, vehicle impoundment mand auction.
The committee is also empowered to suspend or cancel petroleum trading permits of establishments that fail to comply. Any violation posing a threat to public safety in populated areas will be removed immediately at the expense of the business owner.
