Dubai: Air India Express announces plans to expand flight options between the UAE and India, particularly from Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai, to accommodate the surge in travel anticipated during the summer holiday season.

The airline will increase its weekly flights by 24, with additional services primarily catering to Indian expatriates and tourists.

- Dubai: Weekly flights will increase to 84, with four additional flights.

- Abu Dhabi: An additional 14 flights will be added, totalling 43 weekly flights.

With many schools in the UAE closing for summer holidays from June to August, expatriate families seek opportunities to reunite with loved ones abroad. Similarly, a significant influx of tourists from India is expected during this period.

Travel agents advise UAE residents and frequent flyers to book tickets at least three months in advance to secure the best rates.

According to a statement provided by Air India, the airline plans to increase frequencies to international destinations such as Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Jeddah and Sharjah. Additionally, it aims to enhance connectivity by boosting domestic and international frequencies from various Indian cities.

In its 2024 summer schedule, Air India Express will offer over 360 daily departures, marking a substantial increase compared to the previous year. This includes a 25% increase in domestic flights and a 20% increase in international flights.

The carrier recently unveiled four fare products: Xpress Lite (cabin baggage only fares), Xpress Value (15 kg check-in bag fares), Xpress Flex (unlimited changes with no change fees), and Xpress Biz (Business Class seating with meals and priority services).

With the expansion of flight options between the UAE and India, Air India Express aims to meet the growing demand for travel during the summer holiday season, providing passengers with increased convenience and flexibility in their travel plans.
