A collision involving two school buses on Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road in Sharjah on Monday afternoon left 13 children and a female teacher injured, according to the National Ambulance.
The incident occurred at 3:11 pm on June 9, the first day back to school following the Eid Al Adha break. The injured students, aged between 6 and 12, were promptly attended to by emergency teams who arrived at the scene within 13 minutes.
The National Ambulance praised its team’s swift response and affirmed its commitment to international standards in emergency care, emphasizing the importance of rapid intervention in protecting public safety.
Authorities have not released further details about the cause of the accident. An investigation is reportedly underway.
