Sanaa: The Saudi-led coalition forces waged an airstrike on a military camp controlled by the Houthi militia in Yemen's capital Sanaa, Houthi-run al-Masirah TV reported.

On Tuesday midnight, it was the second consecutive day of airstrikes by the coalition that hit the al-Siyanah maintenance camp in central Sanaa, Xinhua news agency reported citing al-Masirah TV.

The explosions smashed windows of nearby houses and sent a fire which could be seen from downtown.

The airstrikes came after the militia claimed responsibility for explosive-laden drones and ballistic missile attacks on sites in Saudi Arabia and the UAE on Monday morning.

This was the second of such cross-border attacks against Saudi Arabia and the UAE claimed by the Houthi militia in nearly a week.

More than 100 people were killed or wounded on January 21,2022 when the Saudi-led coalition bombed a prison operated by Yemen's Houthi fighters in their northern stronghold of Saada, the International Committee of the Red Cross said, days after the attack on Abu Dhabi led to an escalation in the war.

Another airstrike came the same day, and struck the telecommunications buildings in the port city of Hodeidah. It left more than 3 children dead and the entire country struggling with a blackout.
