Toshiba launches S300-AI surveillance drive at Riyadh Channel Connect

Toshiba Electronics Europe held its Channel Connect Program in Riyadh, gathering regional technology partners and industry leaders. The event focused on strengthening channel collaboration and marked the Middle East launch of Toshiba’s S300-AI surveillance storage product.
The S300-AI is an enterprise-grade hard drive designed for surveillance systems that integrate artificial intelligence. The model supports up to 64 high-resolution cameras and 32 concurrent AI streams. It features a 550TB-per-year workload rating, a Mean Time To Failure (MTTF) of 2.5 million hours and a 5-year warranty.
During the event, Bastian James, Director of Strategic Sales for KSA, Bahrain and Jordan, gave a detailed presentation outlining the product’s technical specifications and suitability for regional market needs.
Attendees included Santosh Varghese, Managing Director of TOSH NXT Tech Ventures and Francis Palayoor, Head of ASHTEL Distribution. ASHTEL Distribution received a special Appreciation Award for outstanding performance in the Surveillance category. The award, the first of its kind in the EMEA region, was accepted by Francis Palayoor and Juneer Manakkadaavan.
The Channel Connect Program emphasized Toshiba’s focus on advancing surveillance storage solutions and strengthening partnerships in Saudi Arabia’s growing technology sector.
