Somalia's new President's inauguration gets Saudi Prince Faisal's presence
text_fieldsRiyadh: Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan attended the inauguration ceremony of Somalia's President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in the interests of Saudi King Salman at Aden Adde International Airport of Mogadishu, Arab News reported.
On Thursday, Prince Faizal met Mohmud and sent forth greetings of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, as well as their good wishes to the President and the Somali people.
Meanwhile, president Mohmoud paid his greetings Saudi King and crown prince along with the Saudi government and its subjects.
Prince Faisal informed the Somali President that Saudi wishes to improve the friendly relations between the two nations.
Those who attended the meeting included the Saudi ambassador to Somalia, Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Mawlid, and the director-general of the office of the Saudi foreign minister, Abdulrahman Al-Daoud. Also, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's one delegation, headed by its Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Youssef bin Mohammed Al-Dubaie.
Al-Dubaie spoke on occasion on behalf of the OIC's Secretary-General, Hissein Brahim Taha, lauding the peaceful transfer of power in Somalia. He wished for more advancement in prosperity, development and stability in the country. He wished Mohamud a successful tenure as President of Somalia.
