The Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque launched its operational plan for the 2024 Hajj season on Thursday. Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, President of Religious Affairs, described it as the presidency’s largest religious operational plan to date, emphasizing its focus on serving pilgrims and enriching their religious experience.

The plan includes 120 religious enrichment initiatives to create a devotional atmosphere for pilgrims.

A strong emphasis is placed on promoting volunteer and humanitarian efforts, highlighting the values of generosity and hospitality.

A digital axis focuses on integrating religious digital services, investing in technology and AI, and utilizing applications and digital media to reduce barriers of space and time.

In his speech at the headquarters in Makkah, Al-Sudais highlighted the plan’s integration with various agencies working in the Two Holy Mosques.

He said, “This year’s plan is the largest since the establishment of the presidency with its purely religious specializations.”

The operational plan results from extensive preparation, planning and the achievements of past Hajj seasons, aiming to harmonize efforts across different sectors to serve the pilgrims effectively.

The focus on enhancing the digital experience includes specific initiatives to achieve digital leadership and improve the overall religious experience for pilgrims through advanced technological solutions.
