According to the ministry, such recordings can only be shared or published with explicit approval from the ministry or the Presidency of State Security. Exceptions include judicial orders or requests made by investigating authorities.
The ministry emphasized that violators of this regulation will face a fine of SR20,000 ($5,327). The penalty applies to those who transfer or publish recordings unlawfully and also to anyone found damaging or vandalizing security camera systems or their recorded data.
