Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Waleed Al-Khuraiji, participated in the Second Consultative Meeting on Enhancing Coordination of Peace Initiatives and Efforts in Sudan, held in Djibouti on Wednesday, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.

Al-Khuraiji reiterated Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to resolving the Sudanese crisis and expressed the Kingdom’s openness to international efforts aimed at achieving peace in Sudan. He highlighted the role of the US and Saudi Arabia in facilitating talks between Sudanese parties in Jeddah, which led to the signing of the Jeddah Declaration to protect civilians in Sudan.

He emphasized Saudi Arabia’s dedication to restoring security and stability in Sudan, urging Sudanese parties to prioritize wisdom and self-restraint and to show flexibility in responding to positive and humanitarian initiatives.
