Saudi Cruise, World's largest private cruise to begin sea voyages in Red Sea and Arabian Gulf
text_fieldsThe Saudi Cruise, one of the world's largest private cruise lines to begin sailing in the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf during the upcoming winter season. Owned by the Public Investment Fund, Saudi Cruise Co. signed a joint agreement with MSC Cruises.
According to the agreement, the ship 'MSC Magnifica' will start its journey from Jeddah from November 13 with each voyage lasting seven days. Tourists can visit prominent ports and destinations on the Red Sea coast during these trips.Passengers will also have the opportunity to arrive at the UNESCO-recognized Heritage site AlUla through Al-Wajh Port.
These trips will also provide an opportunity to participate in the first Formula One competition in Jeddah on December 5. The MSC Magnifica ship will conduct the service to visit Dammam, the Al-Ahsa Oasis and visit other attractive places in the region from December 2 to March 24, as part of the winter programme in the Arabian Gulf.
The Managing Director of the Red Sea Cruise Co. Fawaz Farooqui said the cruise travel agreement expects to increase the number of ships coming to the country in the future and that it will open doors for travellers around the world to enjoy Saudi heritage and hospitality. It is also expected thatthese trips will diversify the Saudi economy and boost the country's GDP.
Farooqui added that the company aims to create 50,000 job opportunities through the newly established cruise sector by 2035.
