Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, condemned inflammatory statements and provocations from Israeli officials, particularly regarding Al-Aqsa mosque. The Cabinet urged the international community to address the ongoing Palestinian humanitarian crisis and hold Israeli officials accountable for violations of international law. The comments followed a radio interview in which Israel’s Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir expressed support for Jewish prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque and backed the establishment of a synagogue at the mosque.

The Cabinet also reviewed the outcomes of meetings in Switzerland, co-hosted by Saudi Arabia, aimed at alleviating the humanitarian crisis in Sudan. Despite no ceasefire agreement, progress was made in securing aid access.

Domestically, Saudi Arabia celebrated a 10.5% rise in non-oil exports during Q2 2024, with significant exports to the UAE and China. The ministers also praised the success of the inaugural Esports World Cup, showing Saudi Arabia's growing status as a hub for major international events. After the meeting, the Crown Prince received newly appointed Saudi ambassadors, who took their oath of office.
