Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has formally submitted its bid to host the FIFA World Cup 2034™ during a ceremony held in Paris, France. The bid book was delivered by a delegation led by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, Minister of Sport and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, along with Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) President Yasser Al-Misehal and two young talents from regional training centres.

The bid represents a significant step in the Kingdom's Vision 2030 sports objectives, supported by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Prince Abdulaziz expressed gratitude for the leadership's support, saying, "Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the FIFA World Cup 2034 is a bid for the future. The Kingdom aims to host the most important event in the world of football, reaffirming its influential position on the global stage."

Yasser Al-Misehal highlighted the bid's importance. He said, "Our bid campaign marks our firm commitment to hosting the world’s greatest football tournament and advancing sport and the quality of life for our people."

He emphasized the historical passion for football in Saudi Arabia and the desire to create an enduring legacy.

The involvement of two young talents in the delegation shows the nation's focus on youth and the future of Saudi football. This submission marks the third stage in the bid process, with FIFA set to visit and evaluate the bid before announcing the host nation on December 11, 2024.
