Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has eased the COVID regulation allowing travellers in the country without a vaccinated certificate and a PCR test report before departure for Kingdom.

The Saudi health ministry, in a statement, said that the travellers are no longer required to quarantine themselves after the arrival.

The relaxation of COVID regulation was announced in the wake of a decreased COVID positive cases, which is less than 4 per cent and the vaccination in the Kingdom reportedly reached 99 per cent for those 12 years or older.

Masking and social distancing outside are now not required with the Interior Ministry's new announcement, but masking inside mosques across the country is the norm to be adhered to.

On March 6, 2022, Health Ministry spokesman Mohammed Al-Abd Al-Aly announced the end of COVID-19 periodic press conferences.

"The Kingdom has almost overcome the pandemic completely, thanks to the expansion in the immunization drive and enhanced community awareness programs," Al-Aly said.
