King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh has started the first phase of its Silent Airport project at Terminal 5.

The gradual rollout began on Tuesday and is intended to give passengers a quieter and more comfortable airport experience.

Under the project, public announcements will be reduced and limited to departure gates.

The airport will rely more on digital screens and other digital channels to keep passengers informed about flight updates.

Passengers can check updates through the airport’s WhatsApp number, 920020090, as well as its website, airport signage and the “Ask Me” team.

King Khalid International Airport said further phases of the Silent Airport project will be announced later.
