Madinah Region Deputy Governor Prince Saud bin Khalid bin Faisal recently held discussions with Indian Union Minister for Minority Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju, during the latter's official visit to Saudi Arabia. The meeting focused on arrangements for Indian Hajj pilgrims in Madinah, according to an official statement from India’s Ministry of Minority Affairs.

Both parties explored measures to enhance the experience for Indian pilgrims during their stay in Madinah. Discussions emphasized streamlining services to ensure comfort, safety, and efficient management of the pilgrims' needs throughout their journey.

As part of his visit, Minister Rijiju toured the Hajj Terminals at Jeddah and Madinah airports. He conducted an on-ground review of the facilities provided for pilgrims, including arrival and departure services and baggage handling operations. The review was aimed at assessing infrastructure readiness and ensuring smooth logistics during the pilgrimage season.

This engagement reflects the deepening cooperation between Saudi Arabia and India, particularly in facilitating religious and cultural exchanges. With over 175,000 Indian pilgrims expected for the next Hajj season, the collaboration aims to provide a seamless and spiritually enriching experience for the pilgrims.
