LuLu India Utsav 2026 launches in Riyadh with 10,000 Indian products
text_fieldsLuLu India Utsav 2026 has opened in Riyadh, bringing Indian food, fashion, fresh produce and cultural performances to shoppers in Saudi Arabia.
The festival was launched at LuLu Hypermarket in Riyadh Avenue Mall, Murabba, by Vipul, Ambassador of India to Saudi Arabia.
He was joined by Nemil Nazir, Commercial Director of LuLu Hypermarkets KSA, senior LuLu officials and other dignitaries.
The opening ceremony began with a traditional Indian dance performance, followed by a presentation by an Indian drums band.
The event also included the launch of the India Utsav logo, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a cultural performance reflecting India’s regional traditions.
As part of the inaugural walkthrough, the ambassador took part in a cake-cutting ceremony to mark the start of the festival.
Flavours of India
Visitors were shown a dedicated display of fresh fruits and vegetables sourced from India, with LuLu presenting the section as part of its focus on freshness and authentic Indian products.
The festival also includes a wide range of Indian food items, grocery products and household goods available across LuLu stores in the Kingdom.
LuLu currently stocks more than 10,000 Indian products in Saudi Arabia.
For this year’s India Utsav, the retailer has added more than 100 new products from 30 leading brands, including 24 Mantra, Aahaa, Faani, Fair, Lazza and MamaEarth.
Fashion and home products
The launch also featured a specially curated Indian fashion display, showcasing regional textiles and craftsmanship from different parts of India.
Displays of Indian home furnishings, footwear and appliances were also part of the festival, giving shoppers a wider selection of products from the country.
The retailer said the event is intended to bring the variety and quality of Indian products closer to customers in Saudi Arabia.
India-Saudi ties
In his remarks, Ambassador Vipul spoke about the growing momentum in India-Saudi Arabia relations, particularly in commercial ties and people-to-people links.
He encouraged the Indian community to work together to further strengthen the wide-ranging partnership between the two countries.
The ambassador also commended LuLu Hypermarkets KSA for bringing communities together through cuisine, culture and traditions, while creating more opportunities for trade and business partnerships.
LuLu India Utsav 2026 will run until August 18 across LuLu Hypermarket stores.
The festival invites shoppers to explore Indian flavours, fashion and traditions, along with special offers on a wide range of Indian products.
