King Salman of Saudi Arabia has approved the hosting of 1,000 pilgrims from 66 countries to perform Umrah as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Programme for Hajj, Umrah and Visit. The initiative aims to facilitate the minor pilgrimage for Muslims worldwide and will be implemented in four groups during the current Islamic year, concluding in late June 2025.

Sheikh Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, and general supervisor of the program, expressed gratitude to the Saudi leadership for its efforts to serve Islam and Muslims. He highlighted the initiative as a reflection of the Kingdom's commitment to ensuring that Muslims from diverse regions can perform Umrah with ease and spiritual fulfillment.

The minister emphasized that the program not only shows the Kingdom's dedication to supporting Islamic values but also promotes unity among Muslims by fostering stronger bonds of brotherhood. It also facilitates meaningful exchanges among scholars and influential figures hosted through the program.

Since its inception, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Programme for Hajj, Umrah and Visit has benefited individuals from over 140 countries, showcasing Saudi Arabia’s continued commitment to its role as a global center for Islamic service.
