King Khalid Foundation and TATA collaborate on sustainable digital practices
text_fieldsRiyadh: The King Khalid Foundation has joined forces with TATA Consultancy Services (TCS) to launch the "Sustainathon" initiative, aimed at promoting sustainable digital practices among university students in Saudi Arabia.
"Sustainathon" seeks to empower students to develop projects that contribute to sustainability. Participants will be tasked with designing innovative solutions aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Over three months, the King Khalid Foundation and TCS will conduct online seminars to assist "Sustainathon" competitors in refining their project proposals and enhancing their understanding of sustainability principles.
After the competition period, students will present their ideas to a panel of judges, showcasing the creativity and practicality of their projects.
Projects will be evaluated based on their alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and their potential for real-world impact. Prizes will be awarded to the most promising and impactful proposals.
The contract was signed by Princess Nouf bint Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Saud, CEO of the King Khalid Foundation, and Sumanta Roy, President and Regional Director for the Middle East and Africa at TCS.
The collaboration between the King Khalid Foundation and TCS aims to facilitate knowledge exchange and expertise sharing between private and non-profit sectors, fostering innovation and sustainability.
