Jeddah Prepares for 'Hala Jeddah', the largest Indian Carnival by MediaOne Channel

Jeddah is set to host the largest Indian carnival in Saudi Arabia, as MediaOne Indian Channel partners with Raco Events to present the much-anticipated 'Hala Jeddah.' Organized with the approval of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority, the festival will take place on December 6 and 7 at 'The Track' ground in Jeddah Riheli.
Hala Jeddah promises a vibrant mix of educational and business exhibitions, food festivals and a variety of competitions for children and adults. The event will feature an array of art programs, lectures and workshops. A standout attraction will be the cooking workshops conducted by culinary experts, alongside diverse food corners catering to all tastes. Prominent personalities who have excelled in various fields will also be honored during the festival.
A major highlight of Hala Jeddah is its star-studded music festival. Renowned music bands from India will perform across both days, bringing together about 100 artists for over 20 electrifying programs. Among the performers are the 'Uyire' Band, led by singers Shaan Rahman, Sithara, Vidhu Pratap, Sachin Warrier, Mithun Jayaraj, Niranj Suresh and Sayanora Philip, and 'Pathinalam Raav,' featuring Anarkali Marakkar, Afzal, Kannur Sharif, Rehna, Badusha and Dana Raziq. Other musical attractions include 'Geet Malhar' by Sarigama stars Shreya Jayadeep and Vaishnav and a band led by Tamil singer Pradeep Kumar. The festival will also be hosted by well-known anchors Mithun Ramesh, Jeeva and Kalesh.
The festival’s food court will bring together restaurants from India and Saudi Arabia, along with local specialties, offering expatriates a nostalgic culinary experience. Activities at the food court include singing and drawing competitions for students and a dedicated fun zone for children. A unique feature titled 'You Are On Air' will allow students to experience live TV news reading.
For the youth, a super shootout competition with Ivan Vukumanovic, former coach of Kerala Blasters football team, will be held, along with a Tug of War featuring celebrities and presentations of various folk arts. Women and girls can enjoy a cookery show supervised by Chef Pillai, a mehndi fest and several art programs. The festival is open to expatriates across all categories through free registration.
Global brands and institutions are backing Hala Jeddah, with opportunities for businesses to set up stalls at the event.
Hala Jeddah will be the first biggest carnival organized by an Indian television channel in Saudi Arabia.
