The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques is set to launch the largest-ever translation project for the Arafat sermon, targeting one billion listeners in 20 languages. Named after King Salman, the project aims to promote religious tolerance, moderation and peace.

This marks the seventh consecutive year for the Arafat sermon to be translated into multiple languages. The translation language includes French, English, Persian, Urdu, Hausa, Russian, Turkish, Punjabi, Chinese, Malay, Swahili, Spanish, Portuguese, Amharic, German, Swedish, Italian, Malayalam, Bosnian and Filipino.

The Arafat Day, which marks the end of the annual Haj pilgrimage, will begin on Friday, June 14. The standing at Arafat, a key ritual of Haj, will follow the Arafat sermon and the combined Dhuhr and Asr prayers.
