Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi met with Adm. Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, chairman of NATO’s Military Committee, on the sidelines of the 61st Munich Security Conference, focusing on regional security and humanitarian efforts.

Discussions centered on the situation in Gaza and broader regional developments, according to the Saudi Press Agency. Albudaiwi emphasized the urgency of international efforts to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid.

Adm. Dragone acknowledged the GCC’s critical role in maintaining security, praising its contributions in regional and global forums.

In a separate meeting, Albudaiwi met with Cindy Hensley McCain, Executive Director of the World Food Programme (WFP), to discuss food security amid escalating global challenges. They reviewed the WFP’s initiatives, including the "Changing Lives" program, which aims to improve conditions for vulnerable populations.

Both sides stressed the need for stronger global coordination to ensure timely aid distribution. Albudaiwi reaffirmed the GCC’s commitment to food security efforts, while McCain highlighted the contributions of GCC nations in addressing humanitarian crises worldwide.
