The hospital, inaugurated on Tuesday, provides healthcare services to visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah. Key officials, including Commerce Minister Majid Al-Qasabi, Health Minister Fahd Al-Jalajel, and Royal Court Adviser Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid attended the ceremony.

Prince Salman emphasized Madinah’s historical importance in nonprofit development, as it was the birthplace of the first Islamic endowment. He acknowledged the role of philanthropists, highlighting their contributions through the Ehsan National Platform for Charitable Work, which funded the Kingdom’s first endowment hospital. He also thanked Prince Faisal bin Salman for his efforts in establishing the hospital.

During the event, a video presentation titled "The First Digital Hospital in the Kingdom" was showcased. Malahi bin Salama bin Saedan, chairman of the Al-Shakreen Endowment, shared details of a SR250 million ($66.66 million) donation from philanthropists, benefiting over 95 associations. He announced future plans for a new hospital in Makkah and an additional SR50 million donation.

Al-Qasabi expressed gratitude for the government’s support of Ehsan and the hospital, while Al-Jalajel highlighted the continuation of health-related endowments, noting the government’s commitment to providing top-tier healthcare to visitors of the Two Holy Mosques. The Health Endowment Fund and community partnerships now total 581, valued at SR1.54 billion.

Prince Salman concluded by thanking the philanthropists, health sectors, and Ehsan for their contributions to the hospital’s establishment.
