Qatar schools celebrate Indias 78th Independence Day

Three prestigious schools in Qatar – M.E.S Indian School, Podar Pearl School and Noble International School – celebrated India's 78th Independence Day on 15th August.

At M.E.S Indian School, the celebration was held in the school’s Conference Hall. The Chief Guest, Mr. Kashif Jaleel, President Officiating of the M.E.S Governing Board, hoisted the Indian National Flag, followed by the National Anthem. Principal Dr. Hameeda Kadar spoke about the importance of the nation’s leaders and their efforts in shaping India. Students performed patriotic songs, and the event ended with a vote of thanks.

Podar Pearl School also celebrated with Dr. Steffy Rachel Sam, Vice President of the school, hoisting the National Flag. The President of India’s speech was read aloud, and staff from all three campuses joined the celebrations.




At Noble International School, Chairman Hussain Mohammed U and Treasurer Shoukath Ali Taj led the flag hoisting. Patriotic songs and dances were performed by students and teachers, ending the event on a patriotic note with a vote of thanks from the Vice Principal.



The celebrations across all three schools highlighted the unity and pride of the Indian diaspora in Qatar.
