The Embassy of India in Doha, in collaboration with the Indian Business & Professionals’ Council (IBPC) and Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), hosted a Ramadan Suhoor gathering on March 19 at the luxurious Al Messila Resort. The event, which drew more than 250 attendees, including prominent Qatari business leaders, ambassadors, diplomats and members of the Indian community, stresses the deepening ties between India and Qatar.

A central highlight of the evening was a specially curated photo exhibition titled “Investment Opportunities in India.”

The exhibition showcased the success of the Government of India's flagship ‘Make in India’ initiative over the past decade and provided insights into a wide range of high-growth sectors open to global investors. Sectors featured included automobiles, aviation, chemicals, education, electronics, food processing, infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy and semiconductors. Attendees were also introduced to India’s investor-friendly policies and a broad range of economic incentives.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador of India to Qatar, Mr. Vipul, extended warm greetings on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and emphasized the longstanding people-to-people connections between India and Qatar. He highlighted the significance of the recent state visit by His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar to India on February 17–18, 2025, during which both nations elevated their bilateral relationship to a strategic partnership.

“This historic milestone reflects our shared vision for deeper cooperation,” Ambassador Vipul noted. “We are committed to fostering future growth in key sectors such as trade, investment, energy, technology, innovation and sustainability.”

The Suhoor gathering served as a platform to not only celebrate the spirit of Ramadan but also to strengthen economic and cultural collaboration between the two nations.
