Doha: Naseem Healthcare conducted Walkathon to educate people about breast cancer and its possible preventive measures in connection with breast cancer awareness month. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual campaign carried out in the month of October to raise awareness about breast cancer among the public.

Naseem Health Care, in partnership with Lulu Group International, Nice Drinking Water and Real Coffee, conducted a Walkathon event on the 28th of October, Friday, at 6 am in the morning at Aspire Park, Doha. The event was a grand success, with enthusiastic participation received from over 400 people. The event was graced by the presence of Dr Hadi Mohamad Abu Rasheed, the Head of the Professional Development and Scientific Research Department at the Qatar Cancer Society.

The event was made extra special by the participation of cancer survivors and by delivering inspirational words from their own survival experiences. Fathea Adheir, Director of Pharmacy Services at Sidra Medicine, who is also a fellow cancer survivor, flagged off the Walkathon.

Dr Muneer Ali Ibrahim, the honourable GM of Naseem Healthcare, said, "The Walkathon is a stepping point towards raising awareness among both men and women of Qatar on breast cancer". "Naseem Healthcare welcomes the active participation by Qatar residents and spreading this awareness wider." He Added.

Sanket Medhekar, Manager of Corporate Relations & Marketing at Naseem Healthcare, along with his team, welcomed the participants from various Govt. and private organisations.
