Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan met with Qatar’s Minister of State for International Cooperation, Maryam Bint Ali Bin Nasser Al Misnad, on October 30 to discuss investment prospects and bilateral cooperation between Kerala and Qatar.

The meeting focused on promoting Kerala’s industrial growth, highlighting investor-friendly policies and new avenues for collaboration. J K Menon, Director of Kerala Norka Roots and Chairman of ABN Corporation, briefed the minister on industrial projects and entrepreneurship initiatives involving Kerala-based participants in Qatar.

Al Misnad said investment opportunities in Kerala could be explored under the framework of Qatar–India cooperation, noting the scope for strengthening both economic and cultural ties. CM expressed appreciation for Qatar’s humanitarian work and its support for the Indian community, presenting a recognition to the minister on behalf of the Kerala government.

The discussions aimed to expand collaboration across trade, investment, culture and welfare sectors. The Indian Ambassador to Qatar, Vipul; Kerala Minister for Fisheries, Culture and Youth Affairs, Saji Cherian and Kerala Chief Secretary, Dr. A. Jayathilak, were also present.
