Muscat: Care 24 Clinic in Oman has introduced group therapy sessions for children who face difficulties interacting in schools and struggle to keep up with academic requirements. The initiative aims to build confidence and social skills while providing a nurturing and friendly environment for children of different age groups.

According to the clinic, a supportive atmosphere of love, fun and friendship is vital for children’s overall growth. The group therapy program has therefore been designed for children of all ages, with separate sessions tailored for those below four years and those aged four and above.

Sessions for children above four years focus on boosting self-confidence and encouraging social interaction. Activities include prayers, roll calls, social introductions, card descriptions, exercises with action songs, group tasks, games, design copying, board activities, worksheets, new creative tasks and simple art practice sessions. These classes have been running since September 2 and are held every Tuesday from 6:45 pm to 8:15 pm.

For children under four years, the therapy follows a more playful and sensory approach. Activities include circle time, playtime, group activities, sensory play, simple art exercises and themed tasks. These are conducted every Wednesday morning from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. Parents are encouraged to send snacks for their children.

Care 24 Clinic highlighted that the program helps children manage challenges in schools and also strengthens creativity, social skills and confidence.

Registrations are open and parents can book slots by contacting 92004698 or 99002427.
