Netanyahu will have an end like genocidal Hitlers: Turkiye warns

Ankara: While conflict continues in Gaza as Israel's offensive moves deeper into Khan Younis and Rafah with tanks, Turkiye issued a statement on Monday saying that the end will come for Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu just like the same happened to Adolf Hitler in Nazi Germany, Anadolu Agency (AA) reported.

"...just as the end of the genocidal Hitler came, so too will be the end of the genocidal Netanyahu," AA quoted Turkish Foreign Ministry. "Just as the genocidal Nazis were held accountable, those who seek to destroy the Palestinians will also be held accountable."

The foreign ministry added that Humanity will stand with the Palestinians, and Israel won't be able to destroy them.

The foreign ministry's statement was a response to Israel's counterpart's reaction to Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan's statement that Turkiye might move in support of Palestine.

Erdogan said on Sunday that Turkiye needed to be very strong against Israel so that the latter would not do "these ridiculous things" to Palestine, Reuters reported. Just like Turkiye entered Karabakh and Libya, it will enter Israel too, the president said at a meeting of the ruling AK party in Rize. Reuters reports that the president was apparently referring to its 2020 military actions in Libya, backing the United Nations-recognised Government of National Accord of Libya.

To the warning statement by Erdogan to Israel on the Palestine war, Israeli foreign minister Israel Katz responded that Erdogan is following in the footsteps of Saddam Hussein. Kantz said that the Turkiye president must remember what happened "there and how it ended", referring to Iraq and its hanged leader.
