text_fieldsKuwait’s Foreign Minister, Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, arrived in India on Tuesday for an official visit, where he was warmly welcomed by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The MEA expressed its enthusiasm on social media, highlighting that the visit would help further strengthen the multifaceted relationship between India and Kuwait.
According to an official statement from the MEA, Al-Yahya will be in India until Wednesday, December 4. During his visit, he will hold high-level meetings, starting with a courtesy call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence on Wednesday. Following that, he is scheduled to meet with India’s External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar, at the Hyderabad House in New Delhi.
Al-Yahya is expected to return to Kuwait later in the evening. The visit shows the long-standing and robust bilateral ties between India and Kuwait, which are built on a foundation of centuries of trade and cultural exchange. These relations have persisted since before Kuwait’s independence in 1961, when the Indian Rupee was used as the country's official currency.
