Kuwait: Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has appointed Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as the new prime minister. This decision follows the resignation of the previous prime minister, Sheikh Mohammad Al-Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, after the conclusion of elections to select new members of the National Assembly.
The Emir has tasked the new prime minister with the duty of forming a new government.
Until the formation of the new government, the Emir has instructed the existing cabinet to act as caretakers.
