Kuwait deplores occupation forces' interception of Global Sumud Flotilla

Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a strong statement Thursday condemning the interception and boarding of the Global Sumud Flotilla by Israeli forces. The flotilla was transporting humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip when it was intercepted.
The ministry stressed that Kuwait is closely monitoring the situation and is working to secure the safety of its citizens who were on board the vessels. It added that efforts are underway to ensure their safe return home.
The statement emphasized that the safety of all participants in the flotilla must be guaranteed in line with international and humanitarian law. It also urged that they not be subjected to harm or threats during the incident.
Kuwait renewed its call on the international community to assume its responsibilities by putting pressure on Israel to halt ongoing violations of international law and human rights principles.
