The Representative of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, conveyed on Wednesday the condolences of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to Qatar’s Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The message was delivered at Lusail Palace in Doha after the Israeli airstrike on Tuesday that killed a Qatari security officer and left others injured. The Crown Prince also conveyed best wishes for the recovery of all those wounded.

Sheikh Sabah said Kuwait strongly condemns the Israeli assault on the sisterly State of Qatar, describing it as a barbaric attack that violates international laws and norms. He warned that such actions pose a serious threat to the security and stability of the region.

He called on the UN Security Council and the international community to carry out their responsibilities in preserving international peace and security and to act to end Israeli attacks.

The Amir’s Representative stressed Kuwait’s full support and solidarity with Qatar in all measures taken to safeguard its security, stability and the safety of its citizens and residents.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah and the Chief of Staff of the Crown Prince’s Diwan Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
