Kuwait has condemned what it described as continued Iranian attacks targeting the country, following the detection of dozens of hostile drones in its airspace over the past two days.

In a statement on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the latest attack and said the repeated incidents reflected a pattern of aggression that Kuwait would not accept.

The ministry said the attacks constituted a violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, breached international law and the United Nations Charter, and undermined efforts to reduce tensions in the region.

Kuwait also reaffirmed its right to take all necessary measures to protect its security, territory and critical infrastructure.

Separately, the Ministry of Defence said the Armed Forces detected 24 hostile drones within Kuwaiti airspace during the past 48 hours and responded in accordance with established procedures.

Defence Ministry spokesman Colonel Staff Saud Al-Atwan said the Iranian attack caused limited material damage but resulted in no casualties.

He said the Armed Forces remain on high alert and continue to carry out their duties to protect the country and ensure the safety of citizens and residents.
